| New NSF Requirements |
|
Faculty, As you may have read in the VPR's memo that was emailed recently, NSF announced a new policy requiring all undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdocs that are working on NSF sponsored projects (paid or unpaid work) to complete responsible and ethnic conduct of research (RCR) training. This policy effects all NSF awards that result from proposals submitted on or after January 4, 2010. If this applies to your project or you plan on submitting a proposal to NSF in the near future, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the TAMU's NSF Required Training and Oversight Plan found in the link below. This document provides specific steps that need to be taken to meet the NSF RCR requirements. http://researchcompliance.tamu.edu/responsible-conduct-in-research-plan.html As this is the initial plan, the VPR's Office is in the process of developing a task force that will work on finalizing the plan. If you have any questions, you can contact Linda Castillo or Gregory L. Foxworth, Assistant Vice President (979)845-1812. |
