The Center for Sport Management Research and Education (CSMRE) welcomed 15 students from Indonesia, Nigeria, Russia, Turkey, Venezuela, and five undergraduate students from around the United States, to the inaugural Fusion Arts Exchange (FAX) in American Sports Brand at Texas A&M University. For the next five weeks, participants will attend professional seminars, panel and roundtable discussions, and lectures on the American Sports Brand. The program began with an opening ceremony held Wednesday night, July 11, and continued into Thursday with presentations from Disney's Wide World of Sports, The Coca Cola Company, and Adidas. The program is funded by a $280,000 grant from the Department of State, and will end Aug. 17. The co-principal investigators are Dr. Mike Sagas (Associate Professor, SPMT) and Dr. Gregg Bennett (Assistant Professor, SPMT). For more information visit the CSMRE website and click "FAX ASB" in the upper right-hand corner. More news on this special program will come throughout the next five weeks.
